Saturday was our leaving party before we head off to live in Ireland, where i'll be starting a PhD at the Complex and Adaptive Systems Laboratory at University College Dublin (UCD).

After running around like a headless chicken for most of the day, we managed to get everything sorted out, and my Mum was fantastic for preparing loads of food and of course lending us the use of their house!

Once most people had arrived and had parataken of enough food and drink to make them merry; I made Laura stand next to me under the guise of proposing a toast to everyone for coming, but instead after thanking our guests for helping us celebrate, presented Laura with a ring and suggested she might like to marry me! :) Of course, she said yes (eventually) and the party got into full swing ;)

There was a phenomenal amount of alcohol, and we managed to get through rather a lot, and there was also a helluva lot of food to be eaten!

We had a makeshift badminton court set up in the garden, the Wii set up in the living room, the front garden was full of tents, and the was a laser quest rip-off set (4 player) loaded with batteries, and my cousin entertained us with some fire ball swinging thingers! (poy?).

The evening was a fantastic succes, and thanks to everyone who came along! :)
