Rotary Club
This evening I had the opportunity to attend the St Leonards-on-sea Rotary club meeting as the dinner guest of it's current President.
It was great to meet some people who have such interesting stories to tell! Although the average age was well above retirement, and the conversations seemed to mostly concern health and medicine; it was really nice to be with a group of people who were intelligent, knowledgable and friendly, toast the queen whilst upstanding, and don't remove their jackets until given permission by the club president.
They apparently do not allow any two members of the same proffession to join, meaning that other rotarians, when in need of their proffessional skills, can pass business along without the worry of offending other members.
