I have spent the best part of the last 2 days messing around with my nice new phone :-)

Having realised I was spending far too much on phone calls and text etc. on PAYG, I bit the bullet and have gone back onto a contract phone :-)

Which means I could get a decent phone, at a reasonable price. Having seen other peoples PDA phones, seeing what the shops had to offer, I decided upon the XDAIIi. Which is generically known as the Alpine (?!).

I have ugraded its standard ROM to the latest version, following the instructions didn't quite work, as you have to run the installer once, then end the task when it freezes (took about 30 mins before I ignored the instruction to NOT UNPLUG FROM PC OR POWER) and run the installer again. Took about 20 mins ;)

Hopefully I will be able to get the GPS unit from uni 2moro and see if it works :-) So I can use it for my project
