Curry - British Style

Last night I went to my local pub, having seem a sign outside promising the flavours of the orient in the form of 'Curry Night!'.

I was hoping for a reminder of the wonderful flavours of indian food that I discovered in Malysia.

Instead, having ordered a Chicken Balti dish, I was confronted with the overwhelming flavour of Curry powder.

It seems, in the cooks eyes, the type of curry is decided merely by the amount of curry powder, and type of meat involved!

The worrying thing was, that all the other patrons seemed to be praising the wonderful fare and marvelling at the chefs delicate infusions etc...
